Walk through the doors with confidence
As the world continues to navigate the landscape that is Covid-19 and the “New Normal” we have come to terms with the fact that things are not going back to how they were before. Things like, shaking a strangers hand for the first time or hugging a friend are all so distant now. And certainly the way we need to interact in public is changing to make us all feel safe.
So what is it that I am doing at Move ME to help you feel safe and confident?
First I am strictly following Maine guideline recommendations for fitness studios and also have talked regularly with peers in the Pilates and fitness industry on what is working best for them and providing the best environment for our clients.
Let me walk you through what you can expect when you choose to come into a live class at Move ME Pilates…
When you arrive
On the door to the studio is a sign for you to acknowledge that you do not have any of the symptoms associated with Covid-19. It can be viewed in advance HERE
You may enter the studio no more than 5 minutes before your class to get set up wearing your mask.
You open the door. All public touch points, including door knobs, light switches and equipment is cleaned with disinfectant regularly.
Please use the hand sanitizer upon arriving.
You will fill out a new waiver that covers the risk of being infected with covid 19.
Grip socks are required for all classes.
Air purifiers are in each room.
In the Mat and Barre room
There will be up to 3 people per class. We will be spaced out 14 feet feet apart and face masks are optional. I will not be wearing a face mask because I will be teaching at the same time online.
Feel free to bring any props you have at home that are used in the class.
For Pilates bring

For Barre bring
In the EquipMEnt room
There will be up to 3 people per class. The reformers are spaced out more than 7 feet apart. In the reformer classes it is required to wear a mask.
The straps have been replaced with vinyl loops to make it easier to sanitize all touch points.
Each reformer area has a station with hand sanitizer, and a cleaning solution that you will use after your class. I will then sanitize the equipment used with a disinfectant.
All classes will be 50 - 55 minutes. We need time to clean and limit traffic in between classes.
Limited numbers of people are allowed in the studio so online still might be your best bet! I know some of you have expressed that you are not ready to be in public yet and some of you are really loving the convenience of working out from home and taking away the commute time. Great! Online classes are here to stay! Keep at it! Any way that inspires you to stay healthy and move in a way that your body responds to and loves is great!
Book in advance!
Keep working out with Move ME!
